“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
You have immense value because God intentionally created you. Even without anyone else’s approval, you are completely valued by God. When you root your self-worth in this truth, you can approach dating with confidence and a healthy sense of self. It helps you remember that you deserve someone who appreciates and respects the wonderful person God made you to be.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
God has a plan for your life. When you submit to His will, He can do amazing things through you. Too often — and especially when dating — we get caught up in seeking validation from others and forget our true purpose. But remember, you are God's handiwork, created with a unique mission. Focusing on His plan for you helps you stay grounded and trust that the right person will appreciate you for who you truly are.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
Sometimes we struggle with our self-worth when we think God doesn’t care about us — or our desire for a relationship. This passage beautifully illustrates just how valuable you are to God. If He remembers even the sparrows, how much more does He care for you, knowing every detail of your life, even down to the number of hairs on your head? When it comes to dating, this truth can be incredibly empowering. Knowing you are deeply valued by God can help you approach relationships with confidence, understanding that you deserve someone who recognizes and cherishes your unique worth just as He does.
At this stage of my life, I'm not replacing someone that is missing from my life. God has spiritually filled that area of my life which sustains me. My goal now is to satisfy my human nature by fulfilling that empty place in my heart.
