I met my husband, Logan on Upward in November of 2023- the day before Thanksgiving to be exact. After sending messages for a couple weeks, he asked me on a first date. Logan lived about 3 hours away from me, but after great and open conversations about our faiths, goals and dreams he knew I would be well worth the over 6 hour round trip drive. We got coffee for our first date and spent hours talking, until his family started blowing up his phone to check and see if he started the drive back in time to hang out with everyone (spoiler alert- he didn’t). We both prayed often asking God to guide our dating decisions and he continued to. We would meet up halfway, or take turns making the full drive to see the other person. On our 5th date, Logan asked me to be his girlfriend. On our 6th date, he met my family, and by the end of January he asked my father for his blessing. We were engaged the day after Valentine’s Day and married shortly after. We are so incredibly thankful for the way God worked through Upward.
